Memorial Day 2017 AsiaAmericanaEditor May 29, 2017 News Ticker, The Capital Letter 423 By: Christopher M. Rivera Often, the fast paced lifestyle of Americans drowns out the “who” or the “why” of our existence. We go through the motions and forget how we got here. It is on a day like today that we are given a respite from our normal agenda and we must grasp the opportunity. It is on a day like today that we, Americans, are humbled. It is through the humility from the realization that we owe so much to so many that are no longer with us that we gain a greater purpose. It is in that epiphany we truly understand what it is to sacrifice. On this day, we are implored to pause and remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives so that we may have everything we do today. We owe it to them to be able to walk our streets, drive the highways, relax on a cruise, or watch your child’s baseball game. Today, do not forget our fallen. May 29, 2017 Christopher M.
